Birthday challenge over at The Emerald Faerie Garden

Hey all you lovely peeps!

Today we are having a new challenge over at The Emerald Faerie Garden. We want you to make a creation for a birthday. Everyone loves birthdays don`t yah? The ladies over at the challengeblog has really done a fabulous job on inspiring you all and i`m sure they would love it if you left them some sugar.

Since i have been away on my holiday i didn`t manage to finish a new card for this challenge, so i was allowed to use my card for both the new Sentiment release and this new challenge.

For my card this time i have used the amazingly cute Boo and Snooky digi from The Emerald Faerie Garden Collection. Available right here. All these sweet images a made exclusively for EFG and are also available in rubber.

These are the ProMarkers used for the image:

Skin:
Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan

Trousers:
Tan, Cinnamon, Putty, Satin

Snail:
Walnut, Terracotta, Spice, Honeycomb, Putty, Bright green, Marsh green, Pine, Forrest green

Wings and hat:
Blue pearl, Blossom, Forrest green, Bright green, Lime green, Lime zest

The sentiment is from the brand new Faerie Drop Sentiment collection. Designed by our very own Deb and Anita. They are so very crafty those chicks, lol. I punched out those two sentiments and added some dimention to them by layering them upon eachother with 3D cushions. I think they look fabulous together.

The paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and the swirls are Magnolia Doohickeys. Well that`s all from me today. Don`t forget to hop on over to the challenge blog and enter our birthday challenge.

My first Creation for Marianne`s Design Divas

Hey Peeps!

Finally the day is here! Marianne`s Design Divas has gone live today with our very first challenge. We are making a soft start, so for our first challenge we are doing ANYTHING GOES.

Our fabulous sponsor this month is Bunny Zoe`s Crafts. If you want to see the whole range of Marianne Design goodies, just check out the shop.

For my first creation i have made a card using a stamp designed by the very talented Molly Harrison. I think this image deserved a black hair but i`m not so good at colouring black hair, lol. Really need some more practise, lol. But all in all i didn`t think it looks too bad, lol. I used smooch to colour her wings and i think the texture i ended up with, was kinda fun.

For my Calla bouquet, i have used the Decorative Elegance die, available right here. I think it gave my flower arrangement an extra oompf, lol. (don`t ask what it means, lol, don`t know, hahaha)I used my ProMarkers to colour it in different shades.

For the flower arrangement in the corner i used the Flower and Leaves Creatables die. (used only the leaves)It is available right here.

I hope you enjoyed this first creation for Marianne`s Design Divas, and make sure to pop on over and enter our first challenge. This is the prize up for grabs. The brand new Christmas baubles Creatables die. Good Luck everyone!

Vintage at Phindy`s Place

Hi sweet friends!

The weeks are flying and i`m allmost finished with my vacation:-( But in one way i`m happy it`s over. I am really missing my craft room. My fingers really itch for making anything crafty, lol.

At Phindy`s Place this week we are going vintage. This is one of my fav styles. I looove anything vintage, so this is straight up my alley. So i hope you like my little creation.

The digi i have used for this is called Birdie and you can find it right here. I think this is so adorable. The girl with the waaay too big hat and the bird...think this has to be one of my favourite Phindy images, lol.

Behind the image i put a pice of corrugated cardboard paintet with gesso. I have inked the edges with distress ink "Vintage photo". It is not easy to make this type of work really stick to my card so when i use corrugated cardboard i have to use my gluegun for mounting all my embellies. It`s a bit messy but i prefer it that way, lol. The die is from Marianne Design.

The ProMarkers i used for this image are:

Skin:
Coral, Sunkissed pink, Blush, Tan

Dress:
Henna, Tan, Cinnamon, Putty, Satin

Hat:
Peach, Soft peach, Pastel pink

Other colours:
Lipstick red, Sky blue, Terracotta, Walnut, Umber.

One day i was visiting an interior decorating store and i came across this home decor. It is a piece of a long string with pearls and metal embellies and i had my cards in mind when i bought it, lol. I allways think if i can use what i buy for my cards when i`m out shopping, lol.

The button is something i have had in my stash for quite a while and finally i found the perfect project for it.

Charisma Cardz - Challenge #32 Distressing
Craft us Crazy - Challenge #14 Anything goes

Make it count

Good morning sweet friends!

The vacation is soon coming to an end and we are going home on saturday. I really don`t look forward to a twelve hour drive with a little one that absolutely doesn`t like to be tied up in the back of a car. I am really afraid that this trip is going to be much longer than twelve hours this time....

Before we left for our holiday i stressed with finishing all the cards for the different DTs i`m on. I couldn`t leave my laptop at home so i have it with me to be able to write my posts, lol. But i have promised my hubby that i would leave my computer alone most of the time, lol. So i have not done so much bloghopping as i usually do, lol.

Well...enough boring chit-chat, lol. Let`s get down to buisness. This week is the Dynamite Digi Team`s turn to host the challenge over at Crafts and Me. And it is our fabulous Rose that has set the challenge. It`s her first time, as a member of our DT and i think she has done a fantastic job. Well done, hunny!! The challenge this time is MAKE IT COUNT. You have to put a number somewhere on your creation. It can be anything with numbers on it. (Paper, chippies, sentiments and so on...what ever you feel like)

Our fabulous sponsor this week is:
MEMORY BOX

These are the gorgeous dies you can win:

I have a niese that turns 14 in a couple of months so i made this card for her. The image i used is called Porchini and is one of the brand new digis from one of my fav artists...Sara Burrier. I only used a partial image. I cut off her legs...lol, oh i`m so bad, hahaha....to show off her beautiful face better. I also coloured in a bright yellow background to surround her. I just love how it turned out.

I have actually managed to empty my Vanilla coloured ProMarker so i had to come up with an other colour combo for the skin. I visited one of my fav colouring artists, Debbi aka Wiccababe to get some inspiration. She is a designer for the Letraset company, which manufactures the ProMarkers. And she knows what there is to know about ProMarkers. Debbi has used the skin tones of Coral, Sunkissed pink and blush. I have just added the Tan for the shades. I was afraid that the skin might look too pink but it doesn`t look too bad. I obviously need to practise some more with this colour combo though, hahaha. Thanks for the inspiration, Debbi!

The colours i have used for the image are these:

Skin:
Coral, Sunkissed pink, Blush, Tan

Dress:
True blue, Powder blue, Arctic blue

Hair:
Caramel, Sandstone, Buttercup

Wings:
Pastel green, Blue pearl, Blossom

Background:
Pumpkin, Gold, Sunflower, Yellow

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Mulberry Crafts. The metal corner embellies are also from WOC. The doily die in the back and the Decorative elegance die from Marianne Design is currently out of stock but will soon be available in the Crafts and Me store, right here and here.

A Wedding card

Hey my sweet friends!

It is not so often i get to create wedding cards but this time i had i good excuse to do it. One of my best friends got married yesterday and i just had to make a card for her and her new hubby. I did a vintage card this time. My cards lately have been with a lot of colouring so this time i decided to use a vintage image i found at The Graphics Fairy. The banner i found at the same place.

I`m sorry about the bluish tone of the pics but we had such wonderful weather so i decided to take the pics outdoor. Should NOT have done that, lol. If i had the time to check the pics before i gave away the card i would have taken new ones, but now it is too late, lol.

I just looooved this image. And such fun inscription on it too. So i just HAD to use it for this card.

Challenges i`m entering:

Dream Valley - Challenge #13 Distressing
The corrosive Challenge Blog - Challenge #128 Earth tones
Woodware USA - Challenge #37 Anything goes
Scrap`a`long - Utfordring #7 Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything goes challenge

Hope you liked my little card. My friend surtainly did, lol.

Swirl Pearl Mermaid

Hiah Everyone!

Just a quick post from me today! I`m on holiday so this is a sceduled post. So i hope nothing is messing with this, lol.

Due to my vacation i had to make today`s card a bit earlier, so i had allready finished my card when the new release of digis arrived. So for this one i actually used a rubber stamp from Crafts and Me that i have never used before. She is called Pearl Swirl Mermaid and i just love this stamp. She really is beautiful. I`m real happy i ordered in some of the new ultrafine nibs or i would have had huge problems with her hair though, lol.

This image is one of the talented Jasmine Becket-Griffith`s designs. And you can find her right here in the Crafts and Me Store.
