New challenge at WhoopsiDaisy

Hey Peeps!

It has been really hot today though the sun has just visited us sporadically. It has been so lovely. We visited my MIL and celebrated her birthday and it was so nice to sit out in the garden and enjoy good weather and good company.

Over at WhoopsiDaisy we are having a new challenge. Does anyone out there love flowers? Well i hope you do, course the challenge is to pile on the flowers. I`m sorry but i have gona a little crazy with the images of my card, lol. Hope you bare with me anyway, lol.

I found the cutest butterfly-swing at Make it Crafty that i just had to have. And it fit perfectly to my card for this week. I just love how it turned out. The only thing i am a bit sorry about is that it doesn`t show too much course i have wrapped it with a leaf ribbon and put some small flower stems here and there.

This image is one of four gorgeous images from sheet #264 in Linnies shop.

Bling it on at Crafts and Me

Hey Peeps!

Today is the Dynamite digi team`s turn to host the challenge over at Crafts and Me. And we want to see anything glittery on your creations. For the first time we are also visited by a guest designer which will be joining us for two challenges and first out is the talented Lau which has been a frequent challenge participant over at Crafts and Me. Check out her lovely creation over at Crafts and Me.

Do you want to guest design for our team? Just hop on over to the Crafts and Me shop blog and there you`ll find out how.

For my card today i have used the brand new digi from Sara Burrier called Truth. You can find it here. Isn`t she lovely? I decied to try a new twist for my colouring. I have used two colours to colour up her dress and i think it turned out ok. The colour combo was great but i didn`t get the shading quite as i wanted it.

As some of you know i have struggeled with my mojo lately but yesterday i received some new goodies that i ordered from Wild Orchid Crafts, and i think it got a bit easier though i`m not quite where i want yet. Look at the beautiful lace i got. Looove it. Just might have to order up some more, lol.

I also got the seambinding and the pearlstrings from Wild Orchid Crafts. I just had to try the seambinding. I think it looks so beautiful on others creations and it has become really popular and finally i got to try it. I just loooove it. So now i`m gonna order in more of it, lol.

Free and easy over at WhoopsiDaisy.

Hey Sweet crafters!

I am really struggling with my cards for the moment. My mojo has gone awol. And it takes forever to finish up a card that usually takes me about 1 hour and a half including colouring of images. I can`t seem to get my head in it. I really hope it turns soon course i don`t like being late with my cards.

This week we are doing it free and easy over at WhoopsiDaisy. That means you can make anything you want. Isn`t that great? For my sample i have made a card in lovely pastelcolours. I just love the light green glittery paper. The image is from one of Linnie`s newest sheets of images and you can find it right here. I just looove all of the images in this sheet. There is also a new freebie given to you by the ever so generous Linnie.

The colours i have used for the image are these:

Dress: Sky blue and true blue
Hair: cool grey #1,2,3 and 4
Skin: Vanilla, saffron and oatmeal.
Stockings: Tan, putty and almond
The grass is emerald and pine and the gift is pink carnation.

And i baught the gorgeous flowers here. (except the roses)

Thanks for looking. I truly appreciate all the sweet comments you leave for me.

Hey everyone!

Waaaayyy too late but here i am at last. So i will make this one a short one.

I think i will have to reset my camera course i didn`t manage to get a desent photo of the card but i`m in a hurry here so this will have to do for now.

Water at Phindy`s Place

Hey my sweet friends!

For today`s challenge over at Phindy`s Place i`m going to show you a real clean and simple card that i made for my sample. Usually i use to pile on with lots of sweet embellies but this time i made a card with very little on. It is so colourful that i don`t think it needed much other stuff.

The image is called Seaside Baby and you can find it here in Phindy`s store. Isn`t she adorable?

The colours i have used for this image are these:

Skin: Vanilla, saffron, blush, oatmeal and cinnamon
Bading suit: Soft lime and yellow, maroon, mulberry and plum and i used silver on the fishes.
Water: Cool aqua and Duck egg
For the sky i used Broken China distress ink.

I also came across a tiny hello Kitty a while back, don`t remember where, but i think it looked so adorable so i had to use it for my card.

Matchstick-box

Hey Peeps!

Today i want to show you a matchstick box i made for a swap over in the US. Martica has been so nice to invite me in one of her fabulous swaps. The ladies that participate are extremely talented and her swaps are allways high end swaps.

I didn`t have a box in the specified measurements so i made one myself from scratch. The theme is Musical. (from Broadway and so on) I have used Phantom of the opera for my theme.

We were originally going to create a matching tag that fits inside the box but since my printer has gone awol i only had one image so i had to improvise. I made a tag that is pinned to the top of the box. If the recipiant wants to she can take it off. I also had an alteriar motive for doing it this way. I didn`t want to cover up the beautiful glittery paper with embellies. The paper is from the Mr. and Mrs. collection from Best Creation Inc. And i have purchased it here. And for those of you in the US you can buy it here.

The diecut behind the image is one i got from my homegirl Johanna in Sweden. She is one of my fav vintage cardmakers. She is soooo talented. If you want to visit her blog and see what she creates, you can visit her here.

More closeups:

I also put a little bit of goodies in it for the recipient.

Some challenges i`m entering:

Bunny Zoe - Challenge #12 Lace
Craft your passion - Challenge #61 Anything goes
Make it monday - #40 Anything goes
Mark`s finest papers - Week 58 Flowers

Sketch time at Phindy`s Place

Hey everyone!

Anne-Marije has made a fabulous sketch for us to play with. Are you up for the challenge? Yes? Then you should be hopping over to Phindy`s Place and do the wild thing with this sketch, lol. We can`t wait to see what you all come up with. Just remember that every weekly pick of the DT is in the draw to win a GDT spot. And you also get a free image to play with for the challenge you get to enter as a GDT. Sounds exciting doesn`t it? What are you waiting for? Join us and play!

I was originally going to use another image for my card, but the little mishap my daughter had with the printer caused us to have to buy a new one and i had to go to a friend to print out my images in the meantime. Sadly she had some trouble with her computer too so i didn`t get to print out the image i was going to use, but i think this one is just as cute and it worked perfectly with the papers. So i got lucky after all.

The image is called Piggy Balloons and you can buy it here.

I looove my new flowers. You can order them from this place.

The challenges i`m entering are these:

Paper Crafting Journey - Challenge #11 Anything goes
Stamp Insanity - Challenge #61 Anything goes
Stamp Something - June digi day

Punch it Out at Crafts and Me

Hey everyone!

Time for another challenge at Crafts and Me. It is the lovely Sheila that has set the challenge which is Punch it out. We are a bit sad today. Our wonderfully talented Carisa an Sheila has desided to step down from the team. Sheila is having a break but Carisa is permanently off. We are so sorry to see them go. It has been a true pleasure and great honour to get to work with them. They are such talented artists. But i`m sure our paths will cross in the future.

We are sponsored this week by our lovely Rubber DT Amy who has an online store with Digi Decoupage Sheets of Sweetpeas Ching-Chou Kuik. The prize is 3 Downloads of the winners choice.

Now onto my card. I have chose to use the Dear Diary digi designed by Sara Burrier, which you can find right here. I unintentionally scraplifted our sweet Amy at the rubbah team when i cut out the image. I didn`t mean to do that, lol. Sorry Amy for stealing your cutting idea. But i didn`t notice it till afterwards and then it was so late that i didn`t have the time to colour up a new image. This is the second image i coloured up for my card. The first one was a total failure. So i hope you understand that i didn`t want to start on my image #3 at 2200 hours last night when i knew Vix was waiting to do the post for the challenge.

The colours i have used for this image (the ones i remember though, lol)

Mushroom hat: poppy, ruby, crimson and shale
stem: caramel, tan, putty, satin and almond
skin: vanilla, saffron, oatmeal and tan. Pale pink for the cheeks. and blossom for the lips.
Hair: Walnut, terracotta, spice and honeycomb
Dress: Peach, soft peach and antique pink
Legs: Sandstone, caramel and cocoa
I also used bright green, pine and leaf green for the grass.
For the sky i used distress ink, Broken China.

This is actually one of the cards i have been more satisfied with. Love how the image turned out. And i found the most beautiful two coloured rose at my local stuff and stash store, "Nille", yesterday. So i just had to put it on my card. (The big one)

Hope you like my card this week. Make sure to hop on over the Crafts and Me challenges and join in on the fun!

These are the challenges i am entering:

A Spoonfull of Sugar - Challenge #154 Flower Power
Partytime Tuesdays - Challenge #18 Anything goes

Tribute to my design-teams

Hey my sweet friends!

Today i have made a very special card to honour the design-teams i am so lucky to be a part of. It is just a little token to show you how much you all mean to me. This is the first time i try this type of card.

A while back Trish aka Diamond Doll had a tutorial at the Crafts and Me shop blog which i have used for my card. It is a tripple easel card. Thanks for a great tut, Trish.

As i said, i want to honour the design-teams i am a part of, and especially their owners for giving me a chance and for believing that i could do a good job in showcasing their stamps and be an inspiration to others.

To Linnie at WhoopsiDaisy... Thanks for letting me be a part of your wonderful team of incredibly talented girls. You gave me the chance to prove for myself that i could do this. And for that i am truly grateful. I really love to work with your sweet images.

To Teresa at Crafts and Me...I had applied for several design-teams before yours but you were the first one i applied for, to take me in. I am so happy to get to work with some of the most amazing images.

And last but not least Phindy at Phindy`s Place...Thanks for letting me be a part of your wonderful team. I have really fallen in love with your images. They are so sweet and fun. And i love the spirit of the team. The bond between the girls are amazing.

All three teams are very different and special in their own ways. But the thing they all have in common is the teams of extra-ordinary talented gals. You are all so helpful and inspiring and i really love you all girls.

Now that i am finished with all the moushy stuff, lol, i am going to show you the card. I have made a tripple easel card with one image from each team.

I chose images that looked a bit vintagy course i wanted a vintage feel to my card.

This first image is from WhoopsiDaisy. This is one of four lovely images on sheet #245 designed by the ever so talented Linnie. You can find it right here.

The next one is called "Dusk" and is designed by the talented Sara Burrier. This image you can find right here.

The last image is called "Speedster" and is designed by our talented Phindy. This image you can find here.

I hope you like my creation ladies course this is in your honour!

Thanks a lot everyone!

I am entering this card in some challenges too, and these are:

Pojjo`s - Make an easel card
The Cheerful Stamp Pad - Challenge #19 A special reason
The Spotlight Challenge - Challenge yourself (my challenge is to make this type of card for the first time)

Ribbons and Lace at WhoopsiDaisy

Hey my lovely readers!

As i told the gals at WD yesterday i had to use another image for my card than intended. I was sitting here going to print out the image i was going to use for my card. I waited and i waited and then i waited some more...and nothing happened. I took a peek on my printer course i didn`t understand why it didn`t print and there it stood: Cartridge damaged or removed. Whaaaat? i thougt... Hmmmm i opened the printer and there i was... or in this case.... not! I had to ask my hubby if he had removed the cartridges but no he hadn`t and then it just leaves one little devils child, lol....of course she was at her grandmother`s so i couldn`t ask her where they were either. Imagine that...my eyes went huge when i noticed the cartridges were gone, lol. I can`t for the love of God understand how she managed to remove them. She is after all just 3 years old. But then again she is a really smart and devilish 3 year old so i should really stop believing that she does nothing wrong, lol. Well obviously i couldn`t use the image i was going to so i had to use one i had printed and coloured a while back. It`s not my best work but it just had to do.

I`m sorry but i don`t remember what colours i used on the image since it has been a while since i coloured it.

More closeups.

Here are the challenges i`m entering:

Pear Tree Designs - Challenge #51 Sparkle
Paper Crafting Journey - Challenge #11 Anything goes

Have a nice day everyone!

The little mermaid

Hi Peeps!

I`m a bit late today and i`m sorry for that. I have been at work and i didn`t manage to finish my card yesterday. So i had to do the last embellishing today. I will do this very short (at least i will try, lol)

I chose to use The little mermaid for today`s card. You can find it here. Originally i was going for an other image but i am getting a new craftroom so everything is a bit all over the place. And of course i couldn`t find the image i was going to use, lol. That`s the prize for beeing a messy head, lol.

The panel at the back is from the little yellow bicycle. I got it from my friend Johanna in Sweeden. Thanks sweetie! The blue ribbon around the image is actually some leftovers from the table decoration i used for my wedding last year. I also used some shells i got in a candy from my friend Dorthe aka Pipserier from Denmark. I think they fit perfectly to the theme of the card.

After i coloured the image i painted it with smooch to get the shimmery effect. The great thing with smooch is that it comes with a thin paintbrush so you can paint it on, instead of the glimmermist that has the spray bottles. It is impossible to get a presitional work done with these. Not to mention that it doesn`t curl up the paper as much as the mists does. I also used glossy accent to make the water bobles.

I just had to put on a metal mermaid too, lol. It kinda screamed to me that it wanted to be on my card. I really sounded schizzo there for a moment, didn`t i? lol.

There is still possibility to join the Gems and Pearls challenge over at Crafts and Me Challenges, so run as fast as you can to your crafting area and create a little something for us. I KNOW you just loooove both gems and pearls, lol.
The challenges i`m entering are these:

2 Sisters Challenges - Challenge #41 Anything goes
Delicious Doodles - Challenge #27 Lovely lace
Inspire me fridays - Challenge #8 Anything goes
Sew Many Cards - Challenge #55 Circles
Crafty Purple frog - Things of beauty

Thanks for looking
