Autumn Colours at WhoopsiDaisy

Hey Peeps!

Here i am again! Are you still there? Haven`t gottn tired of me yet, lol? Phew... that`s great! Well...if you are up for another challenge we are doing some autumn colours over at WhoopsiDaisy. So just hop on over if you want to come play with us.

For my card today i have used colour tones in brown, green and orange. The sweet image is from sheet #29 and you can find it right here in Linnie`s shop. The colours are not the ones i use the most. I just don`t seem to find the right embellishment combos. But then again aren`t we allways our own worst critics, lol?

These are the ProMarkers i used for the image:

Skin:
Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan

Dress:
Holly, Lush green, Forrest green, Pastel pink, Antique pink.

Birdhouse:
Walnut, Terracotta, Spice, Honeycomb, Olive green, Marsh green, Moss

Dots:
Ice grey #1, Pastel blue, Arctic blue, Sky blue, Powder blue

Other colours used:
Pumpkin, Canary, Buttercup, Red, Azure, Sandstone, Umber,
Warm grey #2 & 3, Ice grey #5

The glass beads i cut off from a candle light decoration. I bought mine at a design shop called Black Design here in Norway. I think they are a great alternative from the Magnolia`s. The flowers are from Petaloo.

These are the challenges i want to enter:

Challenge at Pojjo`s - Theme is autumn
One stitch at a time - Challenge #77 Halloween/autumn
Scrappy Frogs - Time for some bling
Totally Gorjuss - Challenge #95 As you like it
Well that`s all from me today. Hope you like my card and hope to see you over at WhoopsiDaisy.

Homemade embellies

Good morning everyone!

Yess...today i`m up early lol. Not course i want to though, lol. Well...anyway. At Phindy`s Place we are having a new challenge today. We want to challenge you a bit more this time. We want to see some homemade embellishments! Are you up for the challenge?

For my card today i have used digi paper from Bearly Mine Designs and paper from the Girls Paperie. I wanted to make a card with yellow tones course i saw one other gorgeous card with yellow tones yesterday, and i thought it looked soooo beautiful. I just hope mine looks half as good as that one. If you want to make your own opinion Christine is the guilty one making that awesome card. You can find it right here.

The image i have used is called Grandma`s fancy hat. Isn`t she adorable with that waaaayyy to big hat, lol? I`m sorry but i don`t remember what colours i have used course i somehow misplaced my little note. For the dress i at least used Sunflower, Canary and lemon. For the skin i used coral, sunkissed pink, blush and tan. I also used cool grey #1,2,3 and 4. The rest of the colours are in a blur to me, hahaha.

My homemade embellishment is the butterfly. It is quite simple to make. You have to use a flower with 5 petals. You fold over one of the petals and just snip a little hole right below the fold. Just to make room for the antennas. When you have placed the antennas how you want them, you just glue the petal down on the back. When you`re finished you can embellish your butterfly as you like to. Hope this made any sence. I will soon try to make a tutorial on this, so stay tuned.

The lily is a new gorgeous one from Prima and the corner piece is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Challenges i`m entering:

Charisma Cardz - Challenge #34 Glitter it
Digital Delights - Digital papers challenge
Digi doodle shop - Challenge #73 Anything goes
Crop Stop - Challenge #34 Anything goes

Thanks for looking and don`t forget to enter the challenge over at Phindy`s Place.

The Talisman

Hey my sweet friends!

I`m back with another creation today. The digi team has opened a new challenge over at Crafts and Me. This time we would like you to use some kind of lace on your creation.

My card this time is created in a light grey and lavender colour with hints of lilac and pink. The papers are from Tim Holtz Shabby vintage collection and the paper in the left lower corner i don`t remember the producer. The image is called The Talisman and is one of the newest digis in the Crafts and Me Store. It is designed by Sara Burrier, one of my fav artists. You can find the digi right here if you want to get it for yourself, lol.

The gorgeous die-cut behind the image is from Die-namics and is also from the Crafts and Me store, right here. In the corners i have stamped one partial TH swirl and embossed it with clear embossing powder, available here. I used it as a resist to get a pattern in the paper. I used Distress ink Spun Sugar to make the pattern show off. I also used Distress ink Chipped saffire and Victorian velvet to ink up the edges. I also rughed up all edges and painted them with gesso to make a bit more shabby look.

The colours i have used for this image is:

Skin:
Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan

Tale:
Cornflower, Blue Pearl, Purple

Hair:
Cinnamon, Tan, Putty

Some sad news... Teresa has decided to step down from the team and we are so sad to see her leave. She has been a great inspiration and it has been great to work with her. I really wish her all the best.

I have done a card in shabby chic style using mostly pink tones. This image can you find right here, on sheet #293. It is one of four gorgeous images on this sheet. I ruffled up the edges and painted them with gesso. I also added a LOTs of layers. I counted 7 layers not counting the card base, lol. So it is a bit heavy.

Hat:

Dots:

Grass:

The swirls are Magnolia Doohickey`s and the butterfly is a Martha Stewart Monarch butterfly punch.

Something new at Phindy`s Place

Hey peeps!

Today over at Phindy`s Place the new challenge is New someting. It can be New baby, new house, new school, newlyweds and so on.

For my card today, i have made an easel card. It`s a while since last time i made one so it was with great fun i made this one. Phindy has as many of you know just become a grandmother and in that occasion she designed this gorgeous image of a sleeping baby. It is called "Brand new" and is available right here. It reminds me of my little sister when she was a baby. She used to sleep with her bottom up in the air. And she looked soooo funny, lol. When she got her tonsils removed she managed to sleep normally.

Here is the list of ProMarkers i have used:

Skin:
Peach, Sunkissed pink, Blush, Tan

Clothes:
Pastel blue, Denim blue, Cool grey #1,3,4

Blanket:
Sky blue, Arctic blue, Azure, Sunflower

Teddybear:
Walnut, Terracotta, Spice, Honeycomb

There is no little boys in my family, so i`ll just have to save this card until a suitable occasion comes along. But it was great to make a boycard. I don`t make too many of those, lol.

DT card - The Crafty Purple Frog, Red Hot theme.

Good morning everyone!

Today we are ready with a new challenge over at the Crafty Purple Frog. We want you to dig out your hot and sassy stash and do your magic with it, lol. My teamies have made some gorgeous creations to inspire you with, so make sure to visit their blogs and give them some luv!

For today`s card i have made it a bit smaller than i usually do. I have made a 5"x5" card. I just have to use some of my scrap cardstock i have laying around and why not make a small sized card instead, lol. The image is called Red Hearts and is available right here.

For a very long time i have been wondering how these type of images are mounted, lol. I`m obviously not the brightest kid in the class, lol. Before i became a DT i got a top4 place in a challenge at The Crafty Purple Frog. And i won one of these type of sheets. It is a bit timeconsuming to cut these images by hand but wow what an affect they have on the finished card. I just loooove these and i really think you ought to try them too, lol. For those of you that are like me, wondering what this is, lol...This particular type of image is called pyramage and you just build the images on top of each other with glue pads.

The sentiment is from The Emerald Faeries Garden.

These are the challenges i`m entering:

Bearly Mine - Challenge #17 Bring on the bling
Crazy Amigo - Black/white/red challenge
Try it on tuesday - Anything goes challenge

Craft us Crazy - Challenge #15 Anything goes
