GDT spot at Forever Friends

Good morning everyone!

A while back our lovely teamleader over at WhoopsiDaisy, Pauline, asked if some of us wanted to join in as a guest designer for a challenge over at Forever Friends as WD is sponsoring this challenge. And i was one of the lucky ones that got the opportunity this time.

The challenge for this fortnightly challenge is:

USE YOUR FAVOURITE EMBELLISHMENT
My favourite embellies are my fabby dies, lace and pearls.

The dies i have used are the big butterfly die and the sentiment die from Marianne Design. I have also used a Tim Holtz butterfly die. The lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts as well as the pearls. Papers are from Bearly Mine Designs.

This most adorable image is available here in the WhoopsiDaisy digi shop.

This is a nice and easy challenge so i think you should head over to Forever Friends and join in on the fun. Good luck everyone!

Guest Designing at Top Tip Tuesday

Good morning peeps!

As a designer for Kenny K`s Krafty Krew which is sponsoring today`s challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday, i`ve been so lucky have been asked by the lovely Samantha to create something for this challenge. Of course i had to grab the opportunity to give it a try, lol. It`s a real honour as these girls are really talented. Thanks for having me with you for this challenge!

The theme set for the challenge is:

Kidz / Teens

For my card today i`ve used an image called Ryder Cole and he is available here, at Kenny K Downloads. The papers i have used is from the Prima Printery Collection. I roughed up the edges a little bit for a worn look and then matted the image using a stamp shaped die cut from Marianne Design.

The colours i have used are:

Skin: Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan
Hair: Cocoa, Mustard, Buttercup
Trousers: Navy blue, True blue, Sky blue, Arctic blue
Jacket: Umber, Warm grey #3,4 and 5, Shale, Burgundy, Berry red, Lipstick red
Other colours: Black, Pear green, Lime twist, Lime Zest, Lime green

My Top Tip for you:
If you find yourself in the lack of the right colour cardstock to use as a mat behind your layers of design paper or your image, i usually just take a plain white cardstock and use my ProMarkers to colour around the edges with the desired colour. This way you get the exact colour you want. Just remember to soak your edges with a lot of colour so you get those smooth transitions.

Challenges entered:

Papelitos -Anything goes
Through the Craftroom door - Anything goes
Artistic inspirations - Anything goes
Eureka stamps - For the kids
Paper Playtime - Anything goes

I hope you`ll find the time to come and play over at Top Tip Tuesday, and also take a peek at what these fabby girls have created for your inspiration.

I won a Guest Design Spot at Quirky Carfts, yeay!

Hey my sweet friends!

A few weeks ago i was so lucky to be picked as a guest designer at Quirky Crafts, for a challenge. I got some images from Robyn`s Fetish, which is the fabulous sponsor for this challenge, to play with. And the challenge set is: ANYTHING BUT A CARD

I decided to make a bookmark for my hubby. He is running a bookstore and he reads A LOT! So what better than a bookmark for him to use.

I got an image of a bookworm and i think it is soooo cool. I just had to put him on this bookmark course my hubby is quite a bookworm himself, lol. He told me some days ago that the guys on the soccer team is bullying him for his reading, lol. When they travel on their long trips he allways brings a book and start to read in the car, lol. What a nerd i have married, lol! No, no, no he`s NOT. He is the cutest and most caring guy i know and i just love his little tushie...oooppps... this is probabely not the right place to say such a thing, hahaha.

I also used the backpack course my hubby allways uses a backpack when he leaves for work. He looks like a regular schoolboy, lol.
