Autumn layout

Hello peeps!

I`m back with a layout i created a while back. I suddenly realized that i hadn`t blogget it. It was one of my projects for an application to the Blue Fern Studios Designteam. I didn`t make the team though but i had lots of fun creating this one.

Fall is my favourite time of the year. There are so many fantastic colours. Just love it. And on this layout i have really enjoyed creating with all these different colours. The photo is of my eldest dayghter at her first day at school. Now she`s 18 years old. I wonder where the time went?

I have used colours from Lindy`s stamp gang. As it is a while since i created this, i`m so sorry to say that i don`t remember which colours i used. I usually write down all the colours i use, but it seems i have lost the note for this LO.

The paper is from Blue Fern Studios as well as the chipboard pieces.

I have used stencils from Prima and i have used green metallic modelling paste with sandgrains. It has a fantastic shimmer that i didn`t manage to catch on camera. You just have to take my word for it, lol.

I particularly love how this little birdie turned out.

I`m so pleased with the colour combo. Just love the rustic feel of the details.

Just look at these wonderful fall colours on the chippie piece.

Well....once again i got a bit overboard on the piccies, lol. I REALLY have to get better on that department, hahaha. Hope you are still with me though.

Thanks for visiting me today. Until next time.....

Mixed media tags

Hello everyone!

Just popping in to show you a couple of tags i created before Christmas. I suddenly remembered i had forgotten to post them, lol. Senile is a bitch, hahaha.

I used the same technique for both tags. Started off with a stencile and some texture paste. On the purple one i used a cogs stencile.

I embellished it with a honeycomb from Blue Fern Studios and a wood veneer piece. Not sure what company it is as i got it in a candy long ago. But i think it might be Kaisercraft. Please correct me if i`m wrong. I also used metal pieces randomly placed here and there. Finally i gessoed the whole thing and then spritzed it with colours from Lindy`s Stamp Gang. For finishing touch-ups i put on some bling, some micro beads and a cute ribbon.

For this next tag i started off like the one above, with stencile and texture paste. I then spritzed with my own homemade shimmering sprays. I used distress inks blended with perfect pearls and water. I`m just sorry i didn`t manage to catch the shimmer on camera but i can assure you it looks fabulous. Absolute love the bright yellow colour.

I embellished with some chipboard pieces covered with embossing powder from Lindy`s Stamp Gang. Love the two-toned colour. It`s dark brown with gold shimmer, but it allmost look black. As i didn`t want to cover up too much of the awesome background i just stringed around some jute and a metal flower. To finish it off i put on some bling, text and ribbon.

I hope you all are having a great wekend. I`m just winding down as this week has been truly exhausting. Just watching some movies with my hubby and just do absolutely nothing. Can it get any better?

Thanks for visiting me today.

Well...now we are ready with challenge #3. It`s a nice and easy one, lol. Theme set for this time is:

Use some kind of dies

The image i have used for today`s challenge you can find here.
I have kept the colours in a fall theme as i am in that kind of mood at the time. I just love the fall. Such beautiful colours all around us, don`t you think?

The dies i have used are Fleur de Lis squares by Spellbinders and Border Craftable CR1250 by Marianne Design. I`m sorry but i couldn`t find any link to where it`s available. I got it in a DT pack a little while ago.

I have tried blending some new colours and the result you can see on her clothes and bow. Colours i normally wouldn`t think could go well together but i`m really surprised and happy they did.

Colours used are:

Skin: Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan, Sunkissed pink
Hair: Rosewood (FM), Terracotta, Spice, Honeycomb
Eyes: Emerald, Green, Mint green
Lips: Budding rose, Pink mittens
Top/Tights/Bow: Rosewood (FM), Burnt orange, Peach
Shorts: Firewood, Grey squirrel, Pastel beige
Cat: Ice grey #1,2 and 5, Budding rose, Pink mittens
For white highlights i used Sakura gelly roll pen

Here i just rolled up some string, made a bow and put on a brown rose. Just real simple.

I used some different kind of papers for this one. They are from Websters Pages, Marianne Design and G45.

Please stop by our challengeblog over at My Besties Norway and join in on the fun. Remember you don`t have to use a My Besties image to enter but we would sure love it if you do. Also...The candy has been drawn so make sure to check it out if you have entered.

Die cuts and/or punches at WhoopsiDaisy

Good morning everyone!

I sure hope you are well rested after your big new year celebration. Course now it`s back in buisness. The theme for our new challenge for you is

Die cuts and/or punches

Ok this is not the worst theme to set you off with in the new year, lol. Here at WhoopsiDaisy we are starting nice and easy just to get your crafting juices flowing, lol.

The die cut is a Spellbinder die. Don`t remember the name, sorry. The corner punch is from Martha Stewart and is called Swirling lace. It is a punch around the page set but i only used the corner punch.

The image i have used is a PRE-COLOURED one from the WhoopsiDaisy shop. You can find it right here. There is also available a free digi here for you to play with. Only it is for a limited time, so you must hurry up and grab it.

Well that`s it from me today. Hope you enjoyed my creation. So now it`s your turn to get creative. Please feel free to come and join us over at WhoopsiDaisy and play along.

Happy Crafting!

Hey all my lovlies!

At Crafty Purple Frog our new challenge is Fall into fall. That means we want to se some creations using fall colours.

I have made another mini card. It measures 4x4". I think it`s such a great way to use up some scraps. This time i have used a pyramage called The Jeweled Mermaid and you can find it right here. I think she is just perfect for an autumn coloured card. Isn`t she gorgeous? I just looove her flowing red hair.

The flowers are a prize i won at Sketchy Colors not too long ago. I think they looks so beautiful with this image.

Here you can se the 3D effect a bit more closeup. And also all the glitter i`ve put on it. Oh...and i did NOT colour the image myself. It is a precoloured pyramage sheet from Crafty Purple frog.

For my card today i have used colour tones in brown, green and orange. The sweet image is from sheet #29 and you can find it right here in Linnie`s shop. The colours are not the ones i use the most. The glass beads i cut off from a candle light decoration. I bought mine at a design shop called Black Design here in Norway. I think they are a great alternative from the Magnolia`s. The flowers are from Petaloo.
