Christmas is upon us!

Hey everyone!

The last challenge before Christmas, at least by my part, lol. I`m really looking forward to spend some time with our family and friends. I also got the great news today that i don`t have to work at Christmas day, so i really am going to enjoy myself.

Well...we are having our last challenge for the year over at Crafty Purple Frog. And surprise...the challenge is the very unusual theme of Christmas, hahaha.

The image i have used the decoupage sheet called Red hearts, available here. These sheets come pre-coloured and is designed by Ching-Chou Kuik. Take a peek in the Crafty Purple Frog digi shop and you`ll find lots and lots of gorgeous designs. Both decoupage and pyramage. Below you can see some closeups. I have just blinged it up a bit with some stickles diamond.

Ok...that`s all from me today. I wish you all a merry Christmas! And if you find the time we would love it if you came over to the Crafty Purple Frog and joined our last challenge of the year.

Last challenge as a DT at Phindy`s Place

Good Morning Phriends!

It is with a heavy heart i have announced to the DT at Phindy`s Place that i`m stepping down from the team. I have come to the conclusion that i have to spend more time with my family. That`s why i have had to cut back on some of the DT work. I have loved every minute playing with Phindy`s gorgeous images. The team has been amazing. They are such warm hearted and a very talented bunch of ladies, and Phindy has been a fabulous boss. I`m gonna miss you guys!!!!

Now...onto my card. What can i say. Well yesterday i started on my card. Finished colouring the image. Was actually very pleased with it too, lol. I mounted it on my card and went downstairs to take some photos. Then suddenly something started to move inside my brain. You see...it works reeeeaaaallly slowly up there, hahaha. Well, anyway. As i was doing my photo shute i realized I HAD MADE A WRONG CARD!!! How is that possible? Well, i just have to say that the small grey ones should have had a real smackaroo course they have been sleeping on the job, lol. Here i was sitting with a pretty black and blue card with a little boy sitting on a fire engine and guess what the challenge is? Oh yess...USE YOUR SCRAPS. Do you think i have used some scraps? Nooooo, i didn`t. So obviously i had to go make a new one. O`boy was i stressed out, knowing Cec was sitting and waiting for my card so she could finish her post. Poor Cec...I`m so sorry hunni for beeing so late. Well here we go. My finished NEW card:

All my scraps are 2" or less, except from the butterfly line. It is 2 times 3x1".  The image is called Ice Dance and is available here.

I would love it if you come visit me from time to time. I will definately come over and play when possible. Thanks for the ride everyone. Both DT and all you faithful followers.

Flourishes/swirls EFG challenge #15

Hiah Friends of The Emerald Faerie Garden!

Are you ready for the last EFG challenge for the year? You have lots of time to play as we are keeping this one open to jan 15th.

If you are somewhat like me, i think you are very busy at the mo. I tend to postpone most things to the very last minute, lol. A bad habit, i know, lol. I say to myself every year that i have to finish the shopping for gifts early in november, but hey...do i follow my own instructions? Nooooo, lol.

Well, over to my card. I struggeled a bit with this one. I had no idea what so ever of what i should make for this challenge. I scoped several blogs for inspiration and i looked through my collection of sketches to see if any of them triggered my creativity...but no. So i just had to make it up as i sat there. It took some time but at least i finished it, lol. I`m not so sure i pulled it off but i couldn`t have made it any better given the troubles i had to begin with, lol. At least i hope you like it, lol.

The image i have used is called "Ebony" and is available here and she is coloured with Promarkers.

The colours i have used are:

Skin:
Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan

Clothes:
Shale, Burgundy, Berry red. Olive green, Marsh green. Pear green, Moss

Other colours:
Caramel, Putty, Satin, Lush green, Bright green, Lime, Lime Zest, Cocoa, Pastel yellow

Other supplies:

*Prima bling swirl, *assorted papers from Marianne Design and one other i don`t remember, lol. That`s the senility popping out again, lol. *Martha Stewart edge punch and pine leaf punch. *Marianne D Maroccan birdcage creatable and craftable oval. I also used a red lace some *stickles diamond, some *liquid pearls and a cut of rose from a *BoBunny rosetrim.

So now i hope that despite a busy holiday season you still can manage to join us over at The Emerald Faerie Garden. Just remember that you have a whole month to play. Have a great weekend you all!

Marianne`s Design Divas challenge #6, Christmas

Hiah everyone!

Are you ready? Ready for a new challenge at Marianne`s Design Divas? I really hope so, lol, because we are doing a new challenge and the theme is Christmas!

I know you all are busy preparing for Christmas, so i won`t bore you with any chit chat and go directly to our sponsors and my creation.

Our wonderul sponsors this time is
Bunny Zoe`s Crafts

Which is sponsoring us with this lovely lot

And Marianne her self is giving away this awesome lot

This time i have made a christmas tree ornament. First i started with a die cut plain circle. Then i layered a doily which was slightly bigger on top of that. I then added another die cut plain circle to make it more stiff and also to make the die cut doily that i put onto it, to show better too.

I then added the sweet little santa babies.  I have also used Marianne D creatables branch forrest LR0150

The poinsettia with the mirror and pearls is something i cut off a candle light ornament. And the pine branches is from my friend Johanna in Sweden that nicely cut them out for me. I believe it is a Martha Stewart punch. I just arranged them and put on some stickles.

Hope you enjoyed my creation and the divas and I hope you all find the time to enter our last challenge of the year. I also want to use this time to wish all our followers and participants a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Happy Crafting everyone!

Sparkle and shine challenge at WhoopsiDaisy

Hey peeps!

It is monday again and we are ready with a new challenge over at WhoopsiDaisy. I`m sorry that i am late posting this. Today has been used for Christmas gift shopping. I and my hubby left early this morning to try and avoid the worst rush of peeps. And i`m so happy about that because when we were finishing off our shopping spree, the traffic were a complete mess. We had to do it today because it was the only day before Christmas we were having time off from work, together.

Well, anyway here is finally my creation. I have used an image from sheet #318. Available here. I think she looks so classy and elegant. A true diva, lol. Maybe a Daisy diva, or what? lol. Since it is allmost Christmas i gave her a elegant red dress.

I embellished my tag with some corrugated cardboard which i painted with gesso and crackle paint (picket fence). I then put on a swirl from Magnolia and some roses and rosebuds.

I also found a new bling swirl from Prima which was perfect for all the sparkle. To finish off my tag i added a handmade Merry Christmas banner.

Thanks for taking a peek at my tag. I hope you will come and join our challenge at WhoopsiDaisy. It is our last one before Christmas and it will be up and running to jan 2nd. So you have quite some time to enter. Also make sure you pop over to the WhoopsiDaisy Challenge blog and give my teamies some well deserved sugar. We all get so happy when we get such sweet comments from you, lol. Also don`t forget that from new year the challenge will only allow creations with WhoopsiDaisy images to enter. It`s cold outside!

Hey Peeps!

Two posts in one day...wow...it`s been a while since last time, lol. Well anyway i just have to make this real quick since i`m off to work soon. I was doing a card for the Crafty Purple Frog challenge that started on thursday, but obviously my youngest daughter had been on a rampage streak all thuesday so she just HAD TO ruin my card before i had finished. You can believe i was furious with her little devilish mind!

Well anyway...i made a new creation and this time i made a tag. The image i used is called Peacock blue and i used the pyramage sheet available here.

Below you can see some more closeups.

I`m entering with this tag over at Scrap That`s Tag and card challenge. Which is handmade flowers. Day 3.

Now don`t you forget to enter our "It`s cold outside" challenge over at Crafty Purple Frog.

CAS at Phindy`s Place

Hey sweet crafters!

We are ready with another challenge over at Phindy`s Place. This time we want to see CAS cards. For those of you that doesn`t know what CAS stands for, it means Clean and Simple. This means we don`t want to see much embellies or too many layers on your creation. The vocal point has to be the image.

For my card today i have chosen to use an image called Cupid Bubbles and is available right here. He is just soooo adorable. I just love these Phindy images because they are so great to colour. For me this challenge is sooo difficult because i looove to put a lot of embellies on my creations. I really stink at doing CAS cards. I think i might have gone a bit overboard with this one but i couldn`t help myself, lol. Sorry about that, lol.

The colours i have used are:

Skin:
Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan, (sunkissed pink for cheeks)

Hair:
Cocoa, Pastel yellow, Buttercup

Other colours:
Red, Pastel blue

I have used papers from a Norvegian company called PapirDesign. I think they are truly gorgeous.I have also put some glossy accent on the hearts to make them look a bit glasslike like real soap bubles.

So...now it`s your turn to create something CAS. Please also hop on over to the Phindy`s Place challengeblog and check out my team-mates` stunning creations. Don`t forget to leave them some sugar. We all love that, lol.

Have a great weekend!

WhoopsiDaisy - Snowflakes challenge

Hey sweet peeps!

It`s monday and it`s time for a new challenge over at WhoopsiDaisy. The theme set this time is SNOWFLAKES. Most of you have some kinda snowflake. It can be a die, a punch, a stamp, paper, a sticker or whatever. We just want to see one snowflake or more on your creation.

For my card i have used an image from sheet #266. It is available in the WhoopsiDaisy digi shop. I have coloured her with ProMarkers. The blue back panel is a Bearly Mine Designs, digi paper.

Isn`t she a total cutie? I have used these colours:

Skin:
Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan, (sunkissed pink for cheeks)

Dress:
French navy, Sky blue, Azure, Arctic blue, Ice grey #1 and 2

Other colours:
Holly, Lush green, Green. Silver Metallic.

The pearl/leaf embellishment i made myself. I just thought the colours to this would go so nicely with my card, so i just had to put it on. The were originally made for the table cards at my wedding. Still had some leftovers, so why not make use of them, lol.

These coloured snowflakes i have punched out from a designpaper. Luckely one of my punches were the right size for these gorgeous flakes. I also punched out a white one for some more dimention.

Now it`s your turn! Why not find those snowflakes, put them on some creation and join us at WhoopsiDaisy challenge for some real fun? Can`t wait to see your creations! Happy Crafting everyone!
