Coin envelope mini-album

Hi everyone!

Today i would like to show you a minialbum i created for a sweet friend in the states. There is a lot of pics in this post, but i hope you will stick around anyway, lol.

These days coin-envelopes are hard to get a hold of here in Norway, so i have improvised a bit. My friend Martica, made me a mini-album recently and i copied her take on these envelopes. (Btw it`s absolutely gorgeous the mini i received.)

Hope you like the mini i created. Here we go.

On the cover i have used Prima papers, Nature`s Garden collection while the papers are all from the Tea-Thyme collection. 

You can see a chipboard piece from Dusty Attic on the front. This i have left plain, only used clear wink of stella on it to make it glittery. The effect is just gorgeous. You can see it at bit better on the image below. The flowers are from Prima, Petaloo, Kort og Godt and Storyteller.

I also used Wink of Stella on the wood piece from Kaisercraft. The white frame is created from paperclay using a mold.

This is the first time i have made use of my bind it all without help. And i think i got hang of it fairly quick. So i might just have to start creating more mini abums, lol. I can`t just let it stay on my shelf collecting dust either, hahaha.

For decoration, i created a charm using glass beads and an wing and also some metal decor. Love how it turned out. 

Tags for pictures. I wanted to have as many possibillities for pics as possible.

Pages with flaps to have space for pics or journaling.

All the flaps has magnetic lock to keep them in place.

I wanted to keep the album fairly simple as the pages are so decorative themselves. Also i wanted to keep the space free to be able to place pics in a nice way. There is plenty of space to decorate after pics are placed.

I was originally making an other album but i managed to muck it up totally. The binding was completely wrong. And the pages looked weird. But i`m happy anyway, course i got to create this lovely piece instead. I had a hard time sending it to the States as i liked it so much myself. But i`m happy i did, course the lady who received it was overwhelmed by it. And i`m sooooo so happy she liked it.

Some of you might notice that i have changed settings on my blog. I have removed the Google + connection to make it easier to comment. I have noticed that i allmost never got any comments on my posts and here the other day a lady told me that i should remove Google + as not many were using it. That`s why my comment section has been rather slim. I was not completely aware of the fact but now i have changed it, so i hope i get more comments now. I`m a bit slow you see, hahaha.

Jeg håper alle dere mine venner der ute i bloggland har hatt en riktig fin jul. Og godt nytt år til alle sammen. Jeg kan omsider meddele at nettet mitt ENDELIG er oppe og går igjen. Etter 99% telefonterror til den nye leverandøren og 1% brukerfeil, hehe, er jeg på nett igjen.

Som første post i det nye året har jeg lyst til å vise dere julegaven jeg laget til min svigermor. Det er et mini-album med bilder fra julefeiringen i 2009. Dette er første året vi har kunnet samle familien og gode venner i eget hus. Og vi hadde det utrolig koselig. Godt selskap, masse god mat, unger som storkoste seg og MASSE gaver under juletreet. Vi gjentok dette denne julen også, så dette blir nok en tradisjon.

I hope all of you my friends out there in blogland have had a wonderful Christmas. And a happy new year to everyone. I can finally announce that my internet connection FINALLY is up and running again. After 99% of torturing the new supplier by phone and 1% user-errors, hehe, i am online again.

As my first posting this year i want to share with you the christmas present i made for my mother in law. It is a mini-album with pictures from the 2009 christmas. This is the first year we have been able to gather our family and friends in our own home. We had an incredibly wonderful christmas celebration. Nice company, lots of good food, kids running around enjoying themselves and LOTS of presents under the christmas-tree. We did it again this christmas so i think this is going to be our new tradition.


Selve albumet er et minialbum i tre fra Kaiserkraft. Papirene limte jeg fast ved å bruke gel medium. Dette var flott å bruke. Jeg fikk ikke en eneste luftboble under papirene.
The album itself is a mini-album in wood from Kaiserkraft. The papers i glued with gel medium. I loved using it. I didn`t get any air-bubles under the papers.


Side/page 1. Min yngste datter kledd som en nissejente. My youngest daughter dressed as a santa girl.

Side/page 2. Min mann`s mellomste bror med litja på fanget. Hun digger onkel Magne. My hubby`s middle brother with our little one on the lap. She looooves her uncle Magne.


Side/page 3. Jeg synes dette papiret fra Bobunny`s Noel kolleksjon var for fint til å dekkes til, så jeg hengte bare på en charm og ei sløyfe. I thought this paper from Bobunny`s Noel collection was too beautiful to cover up, so i just put on a charm and a bow.

Side/page 4. De to søte døtrene til min beste venninne. The two sweet daughters of my best friend.


Side/page 5. De to småttingene. Isabell til venstre og Simone til høyre. De er så utrolig søte når de gir hverandre litt kos. The two little ones. Isabell to the left and Simone to the right. They are so adorable when they hug each other.

Side/page 7. Min beste venninne med litja. Hun er også gudmor til litja. My best friend with our little one. She is also godmother to our little one. Nederste bilde er av svigermor og hennes samboer. Bottom pic is my mother in law and her life companion.

Side/page 8. Min mann og hans mellomste bror. Den yngste broren hans feiret ikke julen sammen med oss. My hubby and his middle brother. His youngest brother wasn`t celebrating christmas with us.
