Yellow and green for inspiration

Hi everyone!

Over at The Crafty Purple Frog the challenge this time is to be inspired by Saint David's Day. Saint David's Day is the feast day of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales, and falls on 1 March of each year. The date of 1 March was chosen in remembrance of the death of Saint David. Many people will wear a daffodil to celebrate Saint David. So for this challenge we want you to use yellow and green.

For my card today i have used the gorgeous pyramage sheet called Ivy Mermaid, available here. I have also used a sheet of paper from the brand new digi paper pack from Crafty Purple Frog. The Spring Floral pack is available here.

Please do come and join our challenge over at the Crafty Purple Frog and please take a peek at the gorgeous creations my teamies have in store for you. I can promise you won`t be dissapointed. Good luck everyone.

Shades of spring

Hi peeps!

Today when i was driving my little girl to the day care centre the sun was shining bright. And it was so great. This past week the weather has been completely impossible. I think there is someone up there that has real difficulties in deciding what kinda weather to make, lol. It has been pouring rain one minute and the next we had a raging snow blizard. Now i`m just looking forward to get rid of all the snow and welcome the spring.

I know at least one more on the team that want the spring to get a grip on things, lol. Our darling and very talented Mina has set the challenge for the digi team this time over at Crafts and Me. And....yes....she wants to see spring colours, lol.

For my card i have used Teresa`s new pack of digi papers called Floral Fantasy, available here. I think these papers are so gorgeous that it would be a shame to cover them completely, so i have done as little as i could with this one.

The image i have used is called Fairy Love and was one of the silhouettes released last month. It is available right here.

The sentiment is a freebie i grabbed over at Shirley Swope. She has several of these gorgeous small sentiments. This one is to be found here.

Just a closeup of the paper to show you the gorgeous detail.

I hope you all are in a spring mood and want to come and join our challenge over at Crafts and Me challenges. We would love to have you. Looking forward to see what you come up with. Have a great day!

3D at WhoopsiDaisy

Hey my sweet friendz!

Today we are doing 3D creations at WhoopsiDaisy. A while back i bought this mini-shelf thingy, (don`t know what to call it,lol) at IKEA. It has just been standing there at my craft table looking all boring. So i decided to finally start doing something with it.

Here is how it looked before i started.

I have only done the first drawer, starting on the left. Please bare with me as i have only a few images...not, lol.

I first started sanding the drawer so the paint would stick more. Then i put on some areas with Distress  crackle paint. I have used Picket fence, Antique linen and Weathered wood. I also used Distress ink, Vintage photo. When everything had dried i had to embellish it. Here i have a small rosetrim from Marianne Design, some punched put flowers, a metal corner, a rub-on and i decoupaged a small piece of teared paper behind the image. Lastly i put on this gorgeous handle and the sweet image. The image is available on Linnie`s new CD at Joanna Sheen, right here

The colours i have used are these:

Skin:
Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan and Sunkissed pink for the cheeks

Hair:
Walnut, Terracotta, Spice, Honeycomb

Clothes:
Petrol blue, Denim blue, Fresh meadow Cool grey #1,2,3,4 and 5, Black

This is a rub on i won at a challenge i entered a while back and i think it looks gorgeous. You can also see the crackle paint showing real well.

This handle i found at Claes Olsson. Oh and i made sure to buy one for all the drawers, lol.

I hope this was a bit inspiring for you all. Hope to see you over at WhoopsiDaisy Challenges. It is so much fun to do something else than cards, so don`t let the chance get away.

Winter blues at Marianne`s Design Divas

Hey Peeps!

At Marianne`s Design Divas we want to see some winter blue colours. You may create what you like as long as the main colour is blue in some kind of shade. Here is the yummy goodies you can win from our fabulous sponsors.

Bunny Zoe is giving away this fabby stamp and dies.

Marianne herself are giving away this yummy lot.

This time i have made a card not using any image. And it is very unusual for me. I have used the brand new Windmill die availabe right here. Behind the flowers i have used the Decorative elegance doily, available here.  Also i have used the Anja corner, available here. Looks beautiful. doesn`t it.I have also used Pretty papers block, Winter world. Available here.

Just a few closeups to show you the dies a little better.

The Anja corner is actually not just a completely cut out corner. I only cuts out the corner without separating it from the paper. If you know what i mean. I just used scissors to cut it completely off.

Behind the flowers you can se a bit of the decorative elegance die.

That`s all from me, so now it is up to you to come up with something clever. We looove to visit your blogs and get some inspiration, lol. It is so many ways you can use a die, it is only the imagination that limits us. Good luck on the drawing, everyone!

Challenge # 68 at Crafts and Me, New image

Hey peeps!

I am a bit late posting this. So sorry about that, but sometimes life gets in the way of everything, lol. That`s just the way it is. But anyway...here it is. I decided to make a bookmark for myself. And intentionally i didn`t make it too bulky. After all, i`m gonna use it, lol. I have started to read a Dan Brown book, and i found out that this is what i need. So i just had to make one. As i probabely have mentioned thousands of times....my mind is not what it used to be. It is really leaking like a strain, lol.So it is not so easy to remember where in the book i stopped reading, hahaha. Well, hopefully this will help me, lol.

The image i have used is the brand new release from Crafts and Me called Chrysantemum. Isn`t she a beauty? Mina, this one goes out to you, lol. We just seem to have the exact same taste, lol. Course almost every time we use the same image, lol. Oh well, i believe you once said that great minds think alike, and i tend to totally agree with you, hahaha.

The colours i used are:

Skin:
Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan and sunkissed pink for the cheeks

Hair:
Walnut, Terracotta, Spice, Honeycomb

Dress:
Burgundy, Antique pink, Baby pink

Other colours:
Putty, Berry red, Lipstick red

I have also used a die from Marianne design and a Martha stewart punch around the page, Deco fan.

I also want to tell you about the new and absolutely wonderful digi papers available in the Crafts and Me store. I just loooooove these. Make sure to take a peek. I bet you will love these too, lol.

Please do hop over to the challenge blog too. We are having a new challenge going on now. We want you to use a new image. We`re really looking forward to see what you come up with. Happy crafting everyone!

Smartie Pants

Hi Sweet friends!

I have some good news i want to share with you. Last night my niese gave birth to a healthy baby boy. We are so proud of her doing it the old fashioned way, lol. Both i and My sister has 2 caesareans each so we were happy that Cecilie didn`t have to go through it. The fun part in this is that i get to tease my sister course she is only 37 years old and allready a grandmother, lol. My parents are relatively young too. Mum has managed to become a great grand-mother at the age of 57. I bet she wasn`t too happy about it at first, lol

Well...over to my card. I have used a bit more colour than i usually do for my creations. But this image screamed out for bright colours, lol. This is a brand new release by Hannah Lynn and i think it is soooo cool. She is called Smartie Pants. I just imediately fell for it when i saw it, lol. If you like it, it is available right here in the Crafts and Me store.

I also used glossy accent to make her glasses look more real.

Some more closeups.

Thanks so much for looking. Have a great week.
