Shabby chic candy jar

Hi there everyone!

Today i want to show you a candy jar i have altered. My oldest daughter came to me wondering if i could help her make a birthday present for her best friend. And i just couldn`t say no. She has never asked me to create something for her, so the pressure to make something extraordinary layed heavy on my shoulders, lol. But i was very proud to be asked. So i just had to get started.

She had this empty candy jar she wanted med to turn into something nice. I`m sorry byt i forgot to take pics before i started but i have LOTS of pics of the end result, lol. So i just have to warn you that this is a picture heavy post.

A while back i purchased some vintage ephemera print outs on Etsy from a company called By Digital Paper. She has a lot of gorgeous ephemera. And for this jar i used the Sweet Angel bookmarks

I decoupaged the paper to the jar and glued on the bling strips in between the sheets.

Aren`t these totally adorable? I just looove these images.

On the top of the jar i cut out the centre of a doily to make place for the handle. I then adhered it to the top.

Next i put on a lot of trims around the jar and the top.

To finish it off i put on a lot of different flowers, a resin element and a charm.

As a last touch i gave the flowers a little touch with some glitter glue.

Thanks for visiting me today. Hope to see you back here soon.

Hey my lovelies!

Here`s my post #2 for the day. I`m really on a roll here, lol. Today is actually my first official card as a part of the DT at the Emerald Faeries Garden. And i just love how it turned out. I actually coloured up 3 different images before i was satisfied. Not that i didn`t like how the colouring turned out, but i didn`t think they was exactly what i was looking for. This image is called Kayla and Twinkie and you can find it right here in the Emerald Faeries Garden store.
It is Team B`s turn to host the challenge this upcoming fortnight. And the theme is: all things nice (Girly). You won`t believe all the beautiful creations by the dt, so you just HAVE to hop on over to the challenge blog to take a peek. Dont`t forget to enter while your visiting, lol.

I`m so happy!!! I have finally received my new Big shot, yeay!!! I was a bit scared to use it course i thought i was breaking the plates, lol. But it was just the paper that made the cracking noice, lol. I am so excited about it. Just look at the lovely dies. Finally i can have some swirls on my creations too, lol.

I used a lot of colours on this image so the list is going to be long.

Pastels over at Phindy`s Place

Hey Peeps!

The weeks are going by so fast and the weather hasn`t been much to brag about. Well...it`s not all bad. Bad weather is good crafting weather, isn`t it, lol?

Today we are having a new challenge over at Phindy`s Place. We want to see pastels. This is just right up my alley. I`m in a shabby chic period and pastels are perfect to do shabby style with.

I have used a digi called "Something Sweet". And i think she really is sweet.

The ProMarkers i have used are these:

Skin:
Vanilla
Saffron
Oatmeal
Tan

Clothes:
Slate
Lilac
Lavender

Hat:
Orchid
Blossom

Other colours:
Lime Zest
Bright Green
Yellow
Baby Pink
Antique Pink
Walnut

The papers are from Websters pages except for the circled one. And the big flower is from Prima. I also used gesso to paint the edges of the back panel. I also have got a hold of some liquid pearls that is so easy to apply. You just apply the liquid pearls and just tap your finger on the backside of the card. Just make sure to hold the card horisontally when you tap so the pearls keeps in place.

If you want some more inspiraton, hop on over to the Phindy`s Place challenge blog to see the fabby creations from the rest of the DT. And don`t forget to join the challenge either.

Challenges i`m, entering:

Crafty Purple Frog - Summer fun challenge

Hot, hot, hot at WhoopsiDaisy

Hey Sweet friends!

Ooohhh i`m so excited!!! Are you wondering why, lol? Well, i have finally invested in a big shot. Or correctly...my hubby has, lol. We have recently celebrated our first year of marriage and he gave me a gift certificate for a big shot. Yey!!!! Guess if i was happy, lol? So today i went ahead and ordered one online. I am so excited and i allmost can`t wait to get to play with it.

In the meantime i have made a red and yellow card for our hot challenge over at WhoopsiDaisy. I think this fairy looks rather hot, don`t you. I just love how her dress flows around her. And i just looove the deep red colour i managed to colour her with. This image you can find her on sheet #280 in the WhoopsiDaisy shop.

The swirl is a Prima one that i have butchered. I just love these pearl and bling swirls from Prima but they are a bit too big to have the whole thing on a card. The difficult part is to separate them without making them look odd. This time i got lucky, lol.

The ProMarkers i used for the image are:

Hair:
Cool grey #3,4 and 5
Black

Skin:
Vanilla
Saffron
Oatmeal
Tan

Dress:
Poppy
Crimson
Burgundy
Shale

Wings:
Gold and Canary

The two petals in the back i have coloured with my ProMarkers to get the colours i wanted. I used gold for the dark one and canary for the biggest one.

These are the challenges i`m entering:

Allsorts - Week 110 Free and Easy
Catch the bug - July, anything goes challenge.
Bling it on - Challenge #5 Anything goes
By the cute and girly - July challenge, Things with wings
