Use our stash - New WhoopsiDaisy challenge

Hi everyone!

Have you had a great weekend? I have, lol. It`s been the first weekend in a long time that i have had time off from work together with my hubby. Earlier we have worked alternated weekends, so when i have worked, he has had time off and when he has worked, it has been my time off of work. Now that he has changed workplace he has time off every weekend, so maybe we get to see each other a bit more now, lol. How great is that, yeay!!!

Well...let`s get down to buisness. The new challenge at WhoopsiDaisy is use your stash. That means we want you to use up some of your stuff. It can be paper, embellies and so on.

This time i have tried something i have never tried before. I have used a die cut to make a frame in the frontpage of the card. The hard part was to make the designpaper fit. I only had one chance to make it right, so if i messed this one up, i would have ruined a perfectly good paper. But this time i got lucky, lol.

For the frame i have used Spellbinders nestabilites. The stash i have used up is the feathers, the ribbon and the net between the layers. The image i have used is from sheet #337, available here.

The colours i have used for the image are:

Skin:
Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan and Sunkissed pink for the cheeks

Hair:
Caramel, Sandstone and Buttercup

Dress:
Dusky rose, Pale pink and Budding rose

Thights:
Warm grey #3,#2, #1

New challenge at Crafty Purple Frog

Hi everyone

I`m a bit late with my creation for this challenge at Crafty Purple Frog. Yesterday i spent the whole day on the coach with a mahoosive headache. So you can imagine that my desire to craft was not on top, lol.

I made this card relatively early today but when i was going to edit my image i got myself a big surprise...and NOT a good one. For allmost 2 years i have used Photobucket as my editing program. It has been easy to use with not too many difficult features. I have been very satisfied with it for my type of needs. But when i was going to edit this image today i got totally blown away. Photobucket has totally renewed their site. It might have been great if it hadn`t totally removed the features i used to use earlier, so in protest i deleted all my images and closed my account.

I might have bothered to try it out, but when they do their upgrades they might wanna think about the user friendliness. It has become much harder to maneuver between the features. So in my book...thumbs down to Photobucket.

So now i`m trying out Picasa. As of now, i think it has potential but it is a lot to learn, and my first editing job in Picasa is not my best work, but i hope i`ll get there, lol.

Well...enough about my irritations. Let`s get down to buisness. For my card today i have used an image called Green Moth. It is a pre-coloured pyramage sheet. Papers are from BoBunny and Bearly Mine Designs. The dark purple one i don`t remember the producer. I have edited these images in Picasa. The one on top is my first one. Not too satisfied with it though.

This next one i think i got a better hang of it. The colours look more alike the original image, so i might go with this editing in the future. Please let me know what you think.
Please do hop over to the Crafty Purple Frog Challenge and join our anything goes challenge. Make sure to visit my teamies too. They have really made some gorgeous creations for your inspiration.

Spring into spring

Hi Everyone!

It was such a pleasure to see all your gorgeous creations in the last challenge over at Marianne`s Design Divas. You are all such an inspiration. Here is some inspiration for you though, lol. These are the prizes to be won for this months challenge. Cuddly Buddly Crafts has sponsored us with this awesome collection of goodies.

Prize #2 is from Marianne herself. Look at those yummy goodies!

This time i wanted to make something else than the usual cards, so i have decorated an empty Pringles box.  I have gone a bit overboard with the pics, but i hope you`ll bare with me, lol.

The papers i have used is from my stash, which i have had for quite a while. Don`t remember the  producer i`m sorry to say. But i think it had such a spring feel to it, so i had to use it.

Here i have used the Roses basket LR1206, which i have embellished with punched flowers and roses from Mulberry Crafts. I have also decorated the flowers with pearls. Then i used some liquid pearls to make some swirls around the box as well.

This beautiful flower i bought at Nille which is a low cost chain of shops here in Norway. They have started to branch out to Sweden so it may be possible for our neighbours in the east to make some great bargains, lol. On top of the flower i have put one of the new gorgeous butterflies from Marianne Design. It is available here. I have also used a flower ribbon and a pom pom trim from Marianne D, available here and here.

Here i have layered the flowers following the packages of the doily square LR0169 and the doily round LR0168. On the pic below i have used a Prima bling swirl. I have had it for allmost a year now and finally got an excuse to use it, lol.

Puh...finally finished. Well done to all of you that bothered to follow me trough all my blabbering, lol. Hopefully you want to hop on over to Marianne`s Design Divas and join our Spring into spring challenge. You have a month to enter so there is no rush, lol. But please do remember that you have to use a Marianne Design product to be eligible for any prize.

Take care everyone and good luck!
