Shabby chic, layered wedding card

Hi everyone.

Summer has passed and now it is time to get creative again. Allthough i have been a tiny bit creative. I friend asked me if i could make a card for her, as her oldest son was getting married. So i did that.

I created a layered card with lots of layering and i`m pretty happy about how it turned out.

The main papers i have used is from LemonCraft but i also got to get rid of some scraps as well, lol. I`m not so good at making use of my scraps and i have to get better at it. Course my scrap pile is starting to get really big, lol.

I got these new gorgeous flowers from Prima. I`m so in love with these. Such soft and beautiful colours and the size is just perfect for cardmaking. I also think they are not so chunky as a lot of roses are. So, i have to get more of these.

As a base for the flowers i fuzzycut roses from a scrap piece of paper. I found that this base made the whole card.

I used light pink microbeads here and there. The birdcage is from Scrapiniec. I think they have the most beautiful chipboard. These are more usable for cardmaking as the size is not so large as many other companies create.

Closeup: Look at the beautiful glitter on the rose.

The frame i made myself using Martha Stewart paperclay.

Here it is easy to se all the layers.

Phew...a lot of pics. Oh well...i had to show you some different angles, lol. I just had so much fun making this card. And i hope the happy couple liked it.

La deg inspirere #1 fra ProMarker Norge

Heisann venner!

Dress: Black, Cool grey #3,4 & 5
Hår henne: Cocoa, Mustard, Buttercup
Kjole: Icicle, April shower, Blender

For å se hva utfordringen består i må du nesten bare besøke bloggen vår, hehe....hemmelighetsfull....neeeeeida aldri. Lykke til!

It`s monday and we are having a new challenge over at WhoopsiDaisy. The theme set this time is "Tag it". That means we want to see some kind of tags with your creation. You can make a tag, a card with a tag, a present with a tag...and so on.

We have also done some changes in the rules so please hop on over to the challenge blog and check it out. For you to be eligible for the prize, Linnie has generously provided you with a freebie. You can find it right here. She also has a free sheet of tags for you to use. And you can find them here. So now you don`t have any excuse not to enter, lol.

For my creation today i have made a tag. I have used a punch from Martha Stewart, papers from Melissa Frances and decorated the tag with some die cuts, flowers, glitter and not to mention this adorable image from sheet #316, which you can find in the WhoopsiDaisy digi shop, right here.

They are coloured with ProMarkers and i have used these colours:

Boy`s clothes:
Cool grey #5 and 4, Black, Arctic blue, Powder blue

Boy`s hair:
Cocoa, Pastel yellow, Buttercup

Girl`s gown and flowers:
Ivory, Satin, Arctic blue, Powder blue

Girl`s hair:
Burnt sienna, Walnut, Terracotta

Vanilla, Saffron, Oatmeal, Tan

The reason for using blue in the bouquet is that my own wedding bouquet was blue and white.

Dying to die-cut at Marianne`s Design Divas

Hey sweet friends!

My goodness, how many absolutely stunning creations that were entered in last months challenge. The talent out there in the blogworld is truly magnificent. But... it`s finally time for another challenge over at Marianne`s Design Divas. We want you to use die cuts on your creations. Just don`t forget to use some kind of Marianne D produkt on your creation and please also mention in you post what product you have used. In my case i`m rather new to Marianne products, so it is a bit difficult to know all her older products. And i`m sure i`m not alone on the team to struggle with this. So if you please mention the product used it makes our commenting soooo much easier. Thanks for understanding.

Now for this week and the future challenges we are going to have 2 sponsors. The brilliant Marianne her self has been so impressed by all your entries and how many people are already following the blog that she is going to be offering a prize direct from her.
This month one lucky winner will get the following little set.....

a second winner will get a huge lot from our wonderful sponsor

Bunny Zoe

The amazing Nikki is giving this lot....

Isn`t it amazing? Well...since we are going to have two, YES TWO! lucky winners it`s just for you to grab your Marianne D stuff and start creating.

For my creation today i have made a Wheelbarrow with a card inside. One of my blog friends, Bodil, has created this awesome tutorial. It is her own idea and i just loooove this one. She is sooooo creative that lady! So a big tribute to her talent. Please visit her blog right here, and you`ll find lots of inspiration. It is in norwegian but she has a translation button.

I`m sorry but i went a bit overboard with the images. I just wanted to show you all of it, lol

This ribbon is also a Marianne D product but i couldn`t find out where to buy it, i will get back to you on that when i figure it out.

The papers i have used is designed by Pion Design.

A Wedding card

Hey my sweet friends!

It is not so often i get to create wedding cards but this time i had i good excuse to do it. One of my best friends got married yesterday and i just had to make a card for her and her new hubby. I did a vintage card this time. My cards lately have been with a lot of colouring so this time i decided to use a vintage image i found at The Graphics Fairy. The banner i found at the same place.

I`m sorry about the bluish tone of the pics but we had such wonderful weather so i decided to take the pics outdoor. Should NOT have done that, lol. If i had the time to check the pics before i gave away the card i would have taken new ones, but now it is too late, lol.

I just looooved this image. And such fun inscription on it too. So i just HAD to use it for this card.

Challenges i`m entering:

Dream Valley - Challenge #13 Distressing
The corrosive Challenge Blog - Challenge #128 Earth tones
Woodware USA - Challenge #37 Anything goes
Scrap`a`long - Utfordring #7 Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything goes challenge

Hope you liked my little card. My friend surtainly did, lol.

Thanks for looking!

Divas by Design

Hi everyone!

Just a quick post to tell you a wee bit about a new challengeblog opening real soon.

Divas by Design are having a DT-call and a follower candy (look at my right sidebar under the candybar image) With this post i am answering to the DT-call. Below you will see three of the creations i have made which is my favs amongst my work.

This one is a wedding card using a vintage photo from Sagen vintage. The flower i made myself.

The ProMarker storage unit i made out of empty toilet rolls. Using the Prima fairy flora collection and some of Linnie`s fabby digis from WhoopsiDaisy.

And last but not least...my first DT creation for Crafts and Me. I love those images and they are so incredible to colour.

It wasn`t easy to pick just three creations but i hope they will help me to get one of these DT-spots. Don`t forget to join in on the first challenge at Divas by Design at may 4th. I definately will, either as a participant or hopefully a DT member.

Take care everyone!

Hugs...Mona
