Colourful and simple

Hi everyone!

Today i`ve been home with a massive headache. It felt like my head was going to explode. But now i`m starting to feel a bit better. So here i`m sitting all alone in the darkness, thinking i have some blogging of old stuff to do, lol. Well i`m not the fastest to blog my creations but i hope you`ll bare with me anyway.

Last year i attended a crop with Irit Landgraf as one of the teachers. Amazing lady. So soft and delicate in her presence. I emediately took a liking to her.

With that said, i want to show you the two layouts i created during her class. They are not exactly my "style" but i really like how they turned out. And it made me want to try out this style some more. Hope you like them.

All papers and embellishments are from The Hip Kit Club which is one of the design teams Irit is a part of. I love the combination of colours and design of the papers.

.I just adore this pic of my youngest daughter. The photographer really caught the essence of her. She allways has a smile ready for anyone. She is strong minded and also know how to charm anyone, lol. I`m afraid she`s gonna become a heartbreaker when she grows up, lol. This pic is about 5-6 years old.

Irit also explained the prosess of blending the colours without mucking them up. And i really like how they acted on the paper. We used watercolour paper as a backround using distress inks to blend.

This next LO is showing how you can use your scraps and still manage to create something great with them. This one is quite simple but i think i pulled it off.

This pic was taken for her first day at school. And it is about 2 and a half years old. You can see she still has that lovely smile. My little baby sweetheart is growing older so fast.

Thanks for joining me today. See you soon.

Vintage mixed media canvas

Hi everyone!

Is anyone starting to get in some Christmas mood? Well i`m not! So i`ll just have to work on it, lol. In the meanwhile i have worked on something else. I got commisioned a vintage canvas and that`s what i`m going to show you.

The size canvas is about 6x8"...ish.
I started with priming the canvas with gesso. Next i used some modelling paste and stencils to make some extra texture. I started gluing down my embellishments when the paste had dried. I used a chipboard frame from Blue fern studios and a leaf branch from Dusty attic.

The image is from Ppinkydolls and is coloured with ProMarkers.

I have used flowers from Prima mainly but also some few others. Several metal work pieces and some lace. It all were thoroughly covered with gesso before i sprayed the whole thing with several colours of sprays from Lindy`s Stamp Gang.

I finished it of with some gems and some liquid pearls.

Look at the gorgeous sparkle of the flower. It was coated in a generous layer of Stickles stardust. Looove how it turned out.

Hope you like my new project. Thanks for stopping by today!
I allways appreciate some love, hint, hint, wink, wink, lol.
See you soon.

I`m entering these challenges:

Altered wooden box

Hi there everyone!

Hope you are all having a great day. The winter has finally arrived here in Trondheim....brrrrr. It`s cold but it looks so much britghter and cleaner outside now. So much better than the pooring rain. But, it won`t stay for long. The first snow never does.

Today i want to show you a wooden box i altered as a present to my eldest daughter.
In the top of this box is a small canvas which i primed with white gesso and decoupaged the image onto.

Next i adhered all my chosen embellishments and gessoed it all.

On the sides i used some different stencils and put on some texture paste blended with sand to get this rough look on them.

Before i glued the canvas to the box, i sprayed it several times with sprays from Lindy`s Stamp Gang. And i just love how it turned out.

Just look at all this yummy gorgeous shimmer. Looove it!

That`s it for today. Thanks for visiting me and hope to see you soon back again.

Sweet baby girl

Hi everyone!

A month ago i became an auntie again. It`s been many years since last time. My husbands youngest brother and his wife became parents to beautiful little Melissa. In that regard i have created a card for them.

I`m just so totally in love with the new Prima, Heaven sent collection. It is so excuisite! Gorgeous colour combo and the cutest images ever. And not to mention all the foiled details. Oh...i`m so in love with it. And then there is the most gorgeous flowers and embellies, sigh....

Just look at the wonderful glittery roses. These are just to die for. Looooove, looove, love them.

The heart piece in the corner is homemade. I have used paperclay from Martha Stewart and a silicone mold to create it. I added a bit of stickles glitter glue around the heart edge and a bit in the middle of the flowers.

The chippie is from a polish company called Crafty Moly. I think it is so adorable. I just added a little bit of stickles to it.

I wanted to keep the inside fairly simple so i just added a sentiment and a diecut piece for writing. The die is from Joy Crafts. I also punched out some stars from the design paper for extra embellishment.

I kept the backside simple as well. Just used a small journaling card from the 6x6" pad as an embellishment, and a place i could put my name on.

Hope you like it. Have a nice day everone.

Confirmation cards

Hi everyone!

I have some confirmation cards i would like to show you. the first two are commisioned ones and the last one i did for my niece`s confirmation.

This first card for a boy, is quite simply made. I have used some decorative papers from Kort & Godt. I just cut out the picture to use as vocalpoint, layered it and added a text stamp and a couple of gems. And voila....finished. The same papers are used on the inside.

This next one is more of a shabby vintage one in white and cream. I`ve used some gorgeous with lace trim. Also added a gorgeous star half circle die and mounted it around and behind the image. Put on a die cut on top and embellished the card with flowers, a wood heart and a pearl pin and a charm. Behind the image you can also see some cheesecloth.

This last one is the one i created for my youngest niece. She was the last one to get confirmed. The image is by Jeremiah Ketner and is available here. She is coloured with ProMarkers.

The clay elements are homemade, using silicone molds.

Well...i allmost can`t believe it. 4 posts so far this month. Where is it going to end, lol?
It`s good to have the mojo back. Hope to see you back soon.

Kurs med Randi Thorsen

Good morning peeps!

I`m back here to show you a box i made lat year. Yeah i know....way overdue, lol. I was attending a class held by Randi Thorsen, a well known crafter in the Norwegian crafting community. Looove her stuff. And i`m so pleased i got to meet her.

You might recognize her style in my box. I think it turned out quite well.

I just love how much the pearlstrings makes the whole box. It would definately not have been the same without it.

All flowers are from I am Roses.

Thanks for the visit. See you soon.

Autumn layout

Hello peeps!

I`m back with a layout i created a while back. I suddenly realized that i hadn`t blogget it. It was one of my projects for an application to the Blue Fern Studios Designteam. I didn`t make the team though but i had lots of fun creating this one.

Fall is my favourite time of the year. There are so many fantastic colours. Just love it. And on this layout i have really enjoyed creating with all these different colours. The photo is of my eldest dayghter at her first day at school. Now she`s 18 years old. I wonder where the time went?

I have used colours from Lindy`s stamp gang. As it is a while since i created this, i`m so sorry to say that i don`t remember which colours i used. I usually write down all the colours i use, but it seems i have lost the note for this LO.

The paper is from Blue Fern Studios as well as the chipboard pieces.

I have used stencils from Prima and i have used green metallic modelling paste with sandgrains. It has a fantastic shimmer that i didn`t manage to catch on camera. You just have to take my word for it, lol.

I particularly love how this little birdie turned out.

I`m so pleased with the colour combo. Just love the rustic feel of the details.

Just look at these wonderful fall colours on the chippie piece.

Well....once again i got a bit overboard on the piccies, lol. I REALLY have to get better on that department, hahaha. Hope you are still with me though.

Thanks for visiting me today. Until next time.....
